Let’s face it, for most of us working is a fact of life. Some sources proclaim that on average we’ll spend one third of our life at work over the course of our lifetime. Depending on what you do, that might mean being cooped up in an office or stuck behind a desk somewhere, dreaming of a tropical getaway. Well, for those fortunate enough to have the flexibility of choosing from where you can work, there is no reason why you can’t have the best of both worlds. Sure, you could set up at home and enjoy many of the benefits of working remotely, but where’s the excitement in that? Maybe it’s time to push the boundaries a little.

Why not broaden your horizons and experience a different culture or challenge yourself in a new environment? You might find yourself inspired with more creativity in your day-to-day and may even network your way to even more opportunities. Depending on your destination, you may even save some money if the cost of living there is lower, but most importantly you will undoubtedly find work more fulfilling, so that you can better balance work and play time.

Destin ticks off all of these boxes, so we’ve chosen four of our favorite establishments where you can set up for the day and get plugged into. Please do not let the office plant be the most natural you see all day!

Laid-back European Vibes

Capriccio Cafe is another amazing spot to get some much-needed work done.. We love the super laid-back atmosphere which makes us feel like we’re tucked away on a quiet street corner, somewhere in Italy. The chilled vibes make it not only the perfect place to hang out but especially good to meet with colleagues, work away at your computer or even get some study done. They like to keep things traditional and authentic, so a lot of the ingredients they use are some of the highest quality, imported directly from Italy. You can order your favorite coffee, hand-brewed daily by professional baristas, in exactly the way you like it. Also worth mentioning are their gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads and pastries. But you simply cannot leave without trying their famous crepes for breakfast or lunch. If you’re looking for a welcoming place to work remotely, somewhere you can stay just for a coffee, or a place to work all day while treating yourself to some delicious food and drink then Capriccio Cafe is a must.
